Fundamentals

With the Fundamentals course at IID students get better knowledge about the concepts, process, work flow of this domain. It lays the foundation for the advance learning. This course covers:

  • Architectural concepts
  • Structural concepts
  • BIM concepts
Architectural Design

With the architectural designing course you get a chance to better understand the technicalities of the architectural designs, such as buildings, urban landscapes, and parks. The course modules include:

  • Floor plan (software used AUTOCAD, PC Architect)
  • Architectural sketching
  • Design visualization (software used SketchUp, 3DS Max, Revit, V-Ray)
  • Estimation and costing (software used AutoSCAN)
Structural Design

The primary objective of IID’s structural analysis and design course is to make students learn how to produce a structure which is capable of resisting all applied loads without failure during its intended life. The course covers:

  • Floor Plan (software used AUTOCAD, PC Architect)
  • Analysis & design (software used STAAD.Pro, ETABS)
  • Detailing (software used RCDC, AutoSTEEL & TEKLA)
  • Estimation and costing (software used AUTOSCAN, AUTOSTEEL)
Building Information Modelling

IID course on BIM (Building Information Modelling) intends to make students skilled in efficiently modeling building design using an intelligent 3D model-based processe. The course module covers:

  • 2D plan drafting (software used AutoCAD, PC Architect)
  • BIM design & development (software used Revit Architecture, Revit MEP)
  • BIM steel design Visualization (software used Revit Structure, TEKLA)
  • Collaboration and work-sharing (software used BIM 360, Ms Project, Navisworks)
  • Quantity takeoff and scheduling (software used AutoSCAN)
